Gloria Zvaravanhu – Board Chairperson
Gloria Zvaravanhu is a Chartered Accountant by profession and is a past President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe (ICAZ). She has over 15 years’ experience in financial management, 10 of which at Executive management level. She is the General Manager for Corporate Services at NicozDiamond Insurance Limited and is alumnus of the Fortune 500 Global women mentoring program where she is being mentored by one of the top 50 business leaders in USA. Gloria holds a Bachelor of Accountancy from Rhodes University and a Master in Business Leadership from UNISA. She also holds a Diploma in Short term insurance studies. She did her Articles with KPMG Chartered Accountants and is currently pursuing an LLM in International Business Law with the University of Cumbria UK. She is the Vice Chairman of the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) Board and is the initiator and chairman of the Women Chartered Accountants Network (WeCAN).
Campbell Vincent Musiwa – Chief Executive Officer (Executive Director)
Campbell holds a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree obtained from the University of Zimbabwe in 1982. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986 and later obtained a Masters In Business Leadership Degree from the University of South Africa. Campbell has a wealth of financial business experience, first as Supervising Senior Auditor at KPMG. He was appointed as General Manager in charge of Finance, Information Technology and Secretarial Services at FMB Holdings Limited. He later became a Finance Director and Managing Director at Global Investments House Limited (Discount House), a company that he co-founded. In February 1999, Campbell acquired the entire business of First Transfer Secretaries (Private) Limited (FTS) and in 2000, came to run the business as Managing Director on a full time basis. At FTS, he was involved in major corporate actions such as: Mergers, Demergers and Acquisitions, Initial Public Offers, Rights Issues, Share Splits, Bonus Issues and Scrip Dividend offers. In 2010, FTS as a lead bidder, together with a consortium of Zimbabwean technocrats won the bid to establish Zimbabwe’s first Central Securities Depository, Chengetedzai Depository Company Limited. In February 2011, Campbell was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Chengetedzai, a position that he currently holds.
Alban D. Chirume – Non-Executive Director
Alban has extensive knowledge and experience spanning telecommunications, banking, and capital markets. In 1992 he joined the financial sector and had exposure in both local and foreign owned banks, in Project Finance, Investment Management, Advisory Services and Treasury at senior and general management levels. In 1998, Alban established a company which was both a member of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange and the Zimbabwe Agricultural Commodity Exchange (ZIMACE), and provided financial advisory services. In June 2009, Alban became the inaugural Chief Executive of the Securities Commission of Zimbabwe where he played a major role in the establishment of the Commission and the development of the capital market regulatory framework. Alban is currently the Chief Executive of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, a position he has held since June 2013. He is also the Chairman of the Committee of SADC Stock Exchanges (CoSSE) and is an Executive Committee Member of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA). He is also a Board Member of the Investor Protection Fund and Chengetedzai Depository Company. Alban holds a B.Sc. Physics and Mathematics (UZ), an MBA (University of Wales), is a Chartered Secretary and a Registered Public Accountant.
Norbert Mutasa – Non-Executive Director
Mr. Norbert Mutasa; MSc Strategic Management (CUT); MBA (Manchester University), MBI (CUT), Dip Banking & Finance (Zambia), Cert Investment and Risk Management (Queens University/SADC DFRC), Full IOB (Z)
Norbert has a wealth of banking experience in Credit Operations, Corporate Banking and Retail Banking and Projects spanning over 20years having worked for several banks in both the Region and domestic market. He is credited for successfully concluding the restructuring of Barclays Bank Zambia Retail Operations in 2006 as well as turning around a number of underperforming Barclays Bank Branches in Zimbabwe. He was instrumental in the setup of the NMB Retail Banking model in 2000. Among the senior positions he held include Retail Banking Director- Barclays Bank Zambia, General Manager,-TN Bank, Branch Manager and Head Commercial Business Unit –NMB Bank, Provincial Executive-Agribank, Product Development and Marketing Manager –Barclay Card Centre Harare, Wealth Manager encompassing Priority Banking, Select Banking and Mass Market-Standard Chartered Bank Zimbabwe, Director Orbit advisory Services and Head -Credit and Operations IDBZ. He has travelled vastly in the Region and internationally on work assignments to South Africa, Botswana, Zambia, Egypt, Tanzania, Canada, United Kingdom and Ireland. Norbert currently chairs the Bank’s ALCO and represents the Bank on the following Boards, ZimCampus, USAP as well as a Trustee for NOSIPO Legal Aid Foundation. During his stints in the various institutions he has contributed immensely to the following committees, ALCO, Management Credit Committee, Loans Review Committee, Board Attendance, Management Board Finance and Risk, Investment Committee and Business Development Committee.
Nyaradzo Maphosa – Non-Executive Director
She sits on several Boards and Trusts including African Sun, Hillbrass P/L (Kintyre Estates), Tumaini and S.A.I.D Trust (Int).
Obert Ngwenya – Non-Executive Director
Obert joined the Exchange as the Finance Executive and Company Secretary in July 2012. Obert has extensive experience in financial modelling, financial reporting, human capital development, corporate governance, strategy formulation and implementation gained in working in several listed companies in financial services, insurance and hospitality sectors. Prior to joining the Exchange, Obert worked at Kingdom Financial Holdings, Old Mutual Life Assurance Company and African Sun Limited in senior financial and management accounting positions. He has attended several prestigious Leadership courses notably from Institute of Directors Zimbabwe and also on Strategic Management in a changing economy by Dr Lonnie Strickland.
Sam Mutamuko – Non-Executive Director
Rugare Chidembo – Non-Executive Director
Rugare obtained his Bachelor of Accountancy Degree in 1982 from the University of Zimbabwe. He completed his articles of clerkship with Deloitte & Touché and qualified as a Chartered Account in February 1986. He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. He worked for six years at Lonrho Zimbabwe both as a Finance Director and Group Treasurer. He later joined Econet Wireless Limited as Group Finance Director. He later left to pursue personal business interests in transportation and advisory services but remained serving as a non-executive director of Econet. Mr Chidembo serves on the boards of a number of listed and unlisted companies such as Meikles Africa and TN Harlequin Luxaire Limited.
Samuelle Dimairho – Non-Executive Director
Samuelle Dimairho is a results driven young entrepreneur who has demonstrated potential to grow to become a global leader in the corporate world. He co-founded Chengetedzai Depository Company Limited, Zimbabwe’s first Central Securities Depository for the capital markets industry with current securities deposits of over USD1.5billion and trade settlement in excess of USD700million since inception. Samuelle was crowned the Junior Chamber International (JCI) Creative Young Entrepreneur of The Year 2014 and also won the Entrepreneurs Organisation Global Student Entrepreneur Award 2014. He has been featured in international media programs from various organisations all over the world for his achievements and inspiration to young people in Africa. In addition, Samuelle is a member of Rotary International and voluntarily serves as an advisor to the Graduate Development Agency and Young Entrepreneurs Sanctuary Africa, which is an organisation focused on building the soft skills of graduates and mentoring young entrepreneurs. He holds an ACCA Chartered Certified Accountant qualification, ACCA Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Business, and holds a Bsc (Hons) Applied Accounting with Oxford Brookes University.
Rumbidzayi Jakanani – Non-Executive Director
Rumbidzayi is a lawyer by profession, having previously worked for Stumbles and Rowe Legal Practitioners as a civil and criminal lawyer. She worked in her capacity as Manager Corporate Governance and Compliance, CBZ Bank Limited (2005) and Legal Corporate Secretary (2009) until her appointment as Group Legal Corporate Secretary in 2012, a position that she currently holds. She studied Bachelor of Law (Hons) – University of Zimbabwe and holds an LLM (University of Warwick).
